As a Contracts Manager, you will review, draft, and negotiate terms with third-party suppliers for a wide variety of services, including software license/implementation/maintenance, financial products and services, subscriptions, property maintenance/construction, marketing, training and consulting. The Contracts Manager is responsible for working with finance and associated business unit to budget and track new spend, ongoing renewals, software license, maintenance, support, subscriptions, and/or other third-party contract commitments. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Legal Counsel - Contracts. How you'll spend your time: You will work alone and with other departmental associates to negotiate contractual terms and conditions with third-party suppliers. You will review contract language to identify and analyze potential risks and serve as point of contact while working with other internal stakeholders to maximize contractual protections and cost savings for UMB. You will use internal risk software to understand potential contract risks identified by internal stakeholders. You will assist internal stakeholders with vendor research as needed to support company initiatives and engagements. You will coordinate and participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and third-party supplier representatives during contract negotiations. You will support UMB end users with comprehension of contract terms related to moderately complex agreements to facilitate appropriate review and approval of terms. We're excited to talk with you if: You possess a Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience in contracts/legal, risk, procurement, financial services or other relevant experience OR Advanced degree and 2 years related experience in contracts/legal, procurement, financial services, or other relevant experience Preferred: You are a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or hold other relevant industry certifications. You are experienced with negotiating software license agreements, cloud computing agreements, or other technology related contracts. Compensation Ranges: US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York: $83,810 - $131,550 US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin: $76,520 - $120,210 US Employees in all other states not listed above: $69,230 - $109,120 The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB's good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and what it expects to be the starting pay for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
