Your day at NTT DATA NTT DATA is looking for a highly skilled Technical Writer - Large Deals & Proposals to support strategic sales pursuits. This role is critical in crafting compelling, high-quality proposal content that differentiates NTT DATA in competitive bids (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) and helps win large, complex deals. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding, storytelling ability, and sales acumen to translate solutions into persuasive client-facing content. Key responsibilities: Proposal Development & Sales Support Develop and own high-impact content for: RFPs, RFIs, RFQs Executive summaries and win themes Solution descriptions and approach documents Case studies and credentials Deal-specific presentations and collaterals Partner with sales, solution architects, SMEs, and deal leads to shape compelling narratives aligned with client needs Ensure proposals clearly articulate: Value proposition Differentiators Business outcomes Industry relevance Content Strategy & Storytelling Translate complex technical solutions (cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, ERP, digital transformation) into client-friendly, persuasive messaging Develop win themes and storylines that align with client priorities and evaluation criteria Customize reusable content libraries for specific industries and deal contexts Content Management & Quality Maintain and enhance reusable knowledge repositories (proposal content library, past responses, boilerplates) Ensure consistency in tone, branding, messaging, and quality across all submissions Review and edit contributions from multiple stakeholders to create a cohesive, polished final submission Ensure compliance with RFP requirements and deadlines Collaboration & Deal Execution Work in a fast-paced bid war room environment with cross-functional global teams Coordinate inputs from delivery, consulting, alliances, and domain experts Support orals, presentations, and executive briefings Academic qualifications and certifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Communications, or related field Required experience: 10-15 years of experience in: Proposal writing / bid management Technical writing in IT services / consulting Presales or solution documentation Proven experience supporting large, complex, multi-million-dollar deals Core Skills Strong understanding of: IT services landscape (Application, Cloud, Infra, Data, AI, Cybersecurity) Large deal lifecycle and sales processes Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills Ability to convert technical details into business value-driven messaging Experience working in global, matrixed organizations Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Tools & Technologies Proposal tools: MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Loop/CoPilot (preferred) Content management systems (e.g., Confluence) Familiarity with AI-assisted content generation tools (e.g., Copilot, GPT-based tools) Diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
