About the Team - Energy Storage Supply Chain (ESS SCM) The Energy Storage System Supply Chain Team leads sourcing, supplier development, and qualification of outsourced components and assemblies for Peak Energy's Battery ESS Products. The team is accountable for the technical and commercial performance of our ESS supply chain, driving quality, cost, and delivery outcomes across a complex global supplier base. About The Role - Global Supply Chain Manager The ESS SCM Team is seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager to own the sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management of key mechanical & electrical components across our product portfolio-including mechanical structures, enclosures, busbars, wire harnesses & printed circuit board assemblies. In this role, you will drive supplier selection and contract execution, manage supplier cost and delivery performance, and partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program teams to ensure components meet product requirements and timelines. This is a strategic, high-impact role that will help define our supply chain as we transition from prototype builds to scaled manufacturing. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Source and manage suppliers for one or more of the following key commodities: mechanical structures, enclosures, busbars, wire harnesses, and electromechanical & printed circuit board assemblies. Drive the supplier selection process with Engineering and Manufacturing stakeholders based on quality, cost, delivery, and scalability . Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with global suppliers Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence DFM, design changes, and part specifications early in the development cycle Support prototype programs, NPI builds, and high-volume manufacturing transitions by ensuring supplier readiness Resolve supply chain bottlenecks and lead escalation with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery Monitor supplier KPIs (cost, quality, on time delivery) and lead business reviews to continuously improve performance Partner with Supplier Industrialization Engineering to validate process capability and mitigate risk Own cost management strategies for components & lead cost down initiatives to reduce Bill of Material Cost Travel to supplier sites as needed (~10 - 20%) What You'll Bring ( Qualifications) 5+ years of experience in global supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or commodity management - preferably in the Automotive, Energy Storage, or Consumer Electronics Industries. Bachelor's Degree in one of the following concentrations: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain OR demonstrated excellence in global supply chain management, strategic sourcing or commodity management. Strong knowledge of one or more of the following manufacturing processes: Sheet Metal Manufacturing (LASER Cutting, Turret Punching, Press Brake Forming, etc.), Stamping, Welding, Injection Molding, Wire Harness Mfg., Printed Circuit Board Assembly, and Electromechanical Assembly. Expertise in Should Cost Modeling & Cost Breakdown Analysis. Experience in negotiating supplier contracts such as Master Supply Agreements, and Purchase Price Agreements. Proven track record of supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and commercial agreement execution. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Exceptional communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced start up environment. Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~10 - 20%). Eligibility to work in the U.S.
