Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our protocol engineers on the research, development, and implementation of Angstrom, our Rust-based execution engine and underlying consensus
- Play a key role in the development of our other rust-based, Angstrom-related extensions, such as backend data-indexing, vault infrastructure, and more
- Architect and implement core and peripheral mechanisms for Angstrom
- Work closely with a small team of talented developers, ensuring efficient project progress across the backend stack
- Create and manage comprehensive technical documentation and diagrams for public use
- Constantly be curious and evaluate how to improve the current protocol and code implementation
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Rust language, with proven previous development experience
- Demonstrated history working on high-performance production systems, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming, networking, and computer architecture
- Familiarity with the Ethereum Virtual Machine
- Experience designing and building critical systems from the ground up
- Ability to contribute effectively in an asynchronous work environment, both as part of a team and independently
- Track record in leading technical teams and in management of complex software projects
- A strong passion for writing elegant and efficient code
- Previous experience in high-frequency trading or MEV
- Significant contributions to open source projects
- Working knowledge of the Ethereum ecosystem and MEV supply chain
- Experience working with Ethereum execution clients, particularly Reth
- Experience working with EVM-related libraries such as Alloy
- Experience designing and implementing consensus-based systems
- Background in mathematics
