Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. This is a full time, 1 year Maternity Cover position. Shift work is required for this role. Working a biweekly rotating shift pattern, which is: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday. As a Microbiology Analyst you will perform scientific procedures and produce accurate results within the required time frame under the customer quality system, using customer company procedures, and while adhering to Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories general policies and standards. Job Responsibilities that you be covering: You will perform routine and non‑routine analyses, prepare and approve results within your competency, and immediately escalate any anomalous or out‑of‑specification findings to the Group Leader or customer representative. You will maintain complete, accurate, and compliant laboratory documentation at all times, ensuring all records, training files, and test data meet Eurofins and customer standards. You will participate fully in all required training, arrive prepared and on time, ensure full understanding of all content, and complete associated training records to the required quality level. You will provide training to colleagues when assigned, ensuring all delivered training is properly documented and aligned with Eurofins procedures. You will support quality and compliance activities by performing second‑person verification checks, executing QC samples per customer procedures, assisting with consumables processing, and revising SOPs or documentation as directed. You will develop a clear understanding of customer processes, requirements, and data‑use expectations, respond to customer queries professionally, and consistently deliver work "Right First Time" to meet or exceed service goals. What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as Microbiology Analyst You will hold a degree or diploma in microbiology, chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline. You will hold experience working in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical laboratory environment. You will hold strong organisational abilities, accuracy in daily tasks, and high‑quality documentation skills. You will hold the flexibility and adaptability needed to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced setting. You will hold a genuine passion for quality, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
