Where Your Career is a Force for Good! We are currently seeking a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented Business Planning Analyst II to support our Supply Management line of business. This is a fully remote position that can be located anywhere in the USA. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Business Planning Analyst II to join our Supply Management team. This role is responsible for leading business process engineering efforts, including process mapping, value stream optimization, and end-to-end process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with process design expertise to enhance operational efficiency, drive standardization, and deliver measurable business value. This position also plays a key role in supporting program execution through data-driven insights, planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The American Red Cross (ARC) spends ~$2 billion annually on goods and services. Of this amount, $1.2 billion is spent on goods and services that should be strategically sourced (sourceable), including regulated and non-regulated materials used to support our mission, supplies, facilities, and equipment maintenance, consulting, and IT hardware and software. The $0.8 billion in spending that is not strategically sourced consists of payments to government agencies, grant recipients, inter-Red Cross transfers, and payroll and employee benefits. Supply Management at the Red Cross is undergoing a transformation with the objective of becoming a top-performing function when compared to the outside market. This position is part of a Center of Excellence (COE) and supports the Manager, Business Planning, the Senior Director, Supply Management Excellence, and the full Supply Management team and our internal clients. The role is responsible for process engineering, program administration in workforce planning and execution, and data analysis. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD: Business Process Engineering & Optimization Lead business process engineering initiatives, redesigning workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness Develop and maintain detailed process maps (current and future state) to document workflows and identify improvement opportunities Conduct value stream mapping to evaluate end-to-end processes, eliminate waste, and improve cycle times Analyze processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for standardization Create data analytics and visualization tools to validate improvements and quantify business impact Program Support & Analytical Responsibilities Provide program planning and decision support through data analysis, reporting, and insight generation Analyze financial and supply management data including budgets, cost drivers, supplier performance, and operational metrics Apply project management principles to manage multiple priorities and initiatives WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: (Qualifications) Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Skills & Abilities: Ability to develop project plans. Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration, facilitation, planning, and problem-solving. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint). Ability to work on a team. Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system up to 10% of the time.
