Facility: Dayton Children's - Main Campus Department: Provider Administration Schedule: Full time Hours: 40 Job Details: Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, Ambulatory Clinics, the Service Line Director (SLD), in collaboration with the Director, Service Line Marketing and the Medical Directors, maintains clinical and operational responsibility for the service line. The SLD coordinates these operations with other divisions to achieve the strategic priorities set forth in Destination 2020. The SLD is responsible for all planning and operational activities related to the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the Service Line. The SLD is responsible for the development and attainment of the organizational mission, program development, short and long term goals, operational goals and objectives identified for the service line and related departments. The SLD is responsible for directing patient care efforts through the clinical and administrative staff. The SLD is responsible for development and implementation of plans(s) for department staffing, program development, directing and monitoring service line operations, quality improvement programs, and sound fiscal management of the operations. The SLD Is responsible for all capital projects related to the Service Line. Serves as the lead administrator for the Service Line in identifying, executing and maintaining opportunities to transform and integrate business unit/corporate structures and cultures. This individual will provide leadership support, direction, and administrative guidance in the development, improvement, and maintenance of Service Line by leading a culture of engagement that results in outstanding programs and services, quality, patient safety, patient experience standardization/adherence to best practices, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement. Work in dyad partnership with the Division Chief(s) on vision and goals for each individual division. The SLD will develop knowledge of current trends and the latest advancements within the assigned service line to maintain cutting-edge practices. The SLD will create, maintain, and report on any action plans for any extend period of variance to expected metrics. Mentor and develop direct reports by fostering a culture of engagement that results in outstanding programs and services. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety. The SLD demonstrates competence in quality, financial responsibility, quality of work life, and customer service, and will work collaboratively with other system service line leadership and peer operational colleagues to develop, implement, and sustain clinical programs and services that contribute to a comprehensive portfolio of healthcare services to our children. Department Specific Job Details: Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related discipline. *If the candidate is an RN, Master's is required 5 years of healthcare leadership experience.
