Respond to daily Client/Tenant requests and internal company requests in a timely, professional mannerPrepare/receive packages and deliveries for Shipping/ReceivingBasic abilities in carpentry and installation: mounting a shelf, installing a picture or whiteboards, and simple repairsReplaces ceiling tiles and light bulbsMaintain basic paperwork according to client/tenant needsBasic knowledge of building & lab management systemsAlarm monitoring and managementMonitoring automations systemsEscort vendors and contractorsOther duties as assignedOn-Call Status:Schedule subject to change, remaining flexible within reasonable notice24/7 Response if applicablePre-Hire Qualifications:Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diplomaIf hired directly into this level position, applicant must have two or more years of experience working in the following settings: laboratory, mechanical, wastewater, facilities maintenance or construction.Ability to follow orders given orally and in writingAbility to complete tasks and paperwork with basic supervisionComputer skills (i.e., excel, word, outlook)Physical Qualifications:Manual dexterity isufficient to use hand tools and paintAbility to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladder, and perform various types of manual laborAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyVision (with correction) sufficient for reading, performing repairs and paintingPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time non-exempt position. Life Science Facilities Technician™ II (2pm - 10pm)
Flagship Lab Services is seeking a Life Science Facility Technician to join our dynamic and growing division in Cambridge, MA.
Working for a dynamic Life Science building and reporting to the Facility Manager, successful candidate will coordinate and/or perform the preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of utility systems, equipment, and grounds. Performs routine maintenance work and assists other Maintenance Technicians in performing corrective work orders, preventative maintenance and manual tasks such as moving equipment, offices and materials. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance with complete oversight of building automation system.
