Organization: Med/Surg Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY The Patient Care Technician is responsible for assisting in direct patient care specific to the unit assigned; assisting with patient transfers and repositioning, transporting of patients, supplies, or specimens; and any other duties as deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse. The Patient Care Technician is responsible to the Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Department Manager/Director, Nursing Supervisor, Associate Directors of Nursing Services and the Chief Nursing Officer. .
