THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number PDT5151000 and is part of the KY USPFO, National Guard. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience in arithmetic principles, and application of established procedures for recording and compiling data. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of applying basic principles of budgetary and cost accounting. Practical knowledge and judgment to reconstruct inaccurate accounts, gathers and organizes information for inquiries and resolves problems. Knowledge and skill to suggest specific changes to the guidelines themselves, development of control mechanisms, and specific guidance related to the procedural handling of documents and information. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques to conduct a variety of fiscal reconciliations, reviews, and account adjustments. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
