Position Summary: CaptiveAire is launching a CaptiveAire-employed, self-performing install crew to deliver turnkey national-account HVAC installations under our own quality system. The Field Engineer / Installation Manager leads that crew - owning jobsite planning, execution, quality, and safety. The role starts as a hybrid of field engineering and construction management and grows into a full construction-management seat as the program scales. Extensive travel to jobsites is required. Plan every install before mobilizing - pre-mobilization site visits, full drawing-set review, and trade coordination through the GC so no other trade compromises our scope. Own on-site decision-making, schedule, and quality: daily check-ins, punch list resolution, and the autonomy (and accountability) to make the call in the field. Enforce CaptiveAire's install standards - SOP per install type, structural-engineer review on changeouts, spreader-bar lifts, minimal deck cutouts, CAS-supplied gasket, and clean, safe, organized jobsites. Run startup, commissioning and reporting on completed installs, especially while the crew is establishing. Provide field-engineering and technical support for customers during install downtime, based in Tampa FL. Coordinate with the Key Accounts Manager, project teams, and customers to keep installs on time, on budget, and on brand.
