About the role

This vacancy is for a GS-0343-11, Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OPERATING LOCATION-SFLC IOD OPERATIONS and BUSINESS BRANCH-NORFOLK VA in NORFOLK, Virginia. To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Executing governmental budget development and implementation that aligns with compulsory federal law regarding single or multi-year appropriations. Demonstrating advanced skills in research development, use, and maintenance of various computer financial software applications and databases utilized to track obligations and expenditures. Understanding of Coast Guard's mission, programs, command structure and responsibilities and how they are aligned, influence and affect the goals of the assigned work location. Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication to management and peers, that clearly explains complex situations or scenarios, in presenting findings or well-considered/sound suggestions and recommendations in succinct format. OR three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. A combination of education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements.
