What We Can Achieve Together: The Events Associate is responsible for managing and implementing a long list of resources, products, in-person events and virtual events that further The Nature Conservancy's mission and its target audiences (donors and supporters). This position works within one of our most important areas of Marketing - the production and delivery of compelling events and other experiences that bring our donors and partners closer to the work we do at The Nature Conservancy in Hawaii and the people who do it. This role will be based out of Hawaii, with a strong preference for candidates located on Oahu, to ensure effective in‑person collaboration with teams across the islands. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Events Associate manages and implements events that align with the strategic priorities of The Nature Conservancy's Hawai'i & Palmyra Chapter. The Events Associate will be responsible for the project management and execution of 15-18 events annually of varying scope and complexity. The Events Associate leads on the development of Marketing's annual field trip series by identifying and scoping locations and leading the programming, branding and promotional efforts for these experiences. They work closely with various constituents including senior staff, field offices, department and division staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure events are developed in a highly collaborative and informed way and deliver positive donor experiences that bring them closer to the lands, water, oceans, and climate work we do. They may coordinate and manage budgets for the events they produce and oversee the day-to-day tasks of scheduling the pre-planned event calendar annually. RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE Manage and serve as team lead on assigned projects. Coordinating with various participating staff, external vendors, and other third parties Developing materials and tracking communications between the parties to ensure the successful completion of all events Responsibility and accountability for meeting project goals and objectives. Resolves complex issues independently within program area. Opportunity to act independently within program goals. 25% travel is required for business meetings and events, trainings, and/or team retreats and meetings. Other related duties as assigned.
