Position Summary: Support the material handling activities in Saddle Brook plant to obtain a safe, efficient, productive, and economical manufacturing operation. Primary functions will be to process and transport materials throughout the organization. Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to): Transport and load/unload materials in the warehouse and value stream(s) to and from pallets, bins, racks, shelves, etc. Pick parts for shipping and package according to shipping procedures. Complete appropriate paperwork needed to ship the material. Perform transactions in GLOVIA to ensure inventory accuracy. Use of pallet jacks, wav machine, forklifts and hand trucks to bring materials to the appropriate locations. Fill Kan-Ban bins on the value stream(s). Monitor stockroom accuracy and report discrepancies in quantities to supervisors. Essential Qualifications / Experience: Must be able to stand, bend, push, and reach for long periods of time. Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a basic reading/writing ability to read and interpret customer orders and shipping/trafficking requirements. Basic math and computer skills are necessary. Knowledge of GLOVIA inventory database is helpful but not required. Material handlers may be certified on the use of forklifts and other material moving equipment. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
