Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography and breast imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols

  • Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) of the American Medical Association (AMA)
  • Certification in Radiologic Technology through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • If not currently registered in Mammography (ARRT-M) , certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire

Job Summary Grady Health System is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform advanced breast imaging procedures that support accurate diagnostic interpretation and high-quality patient care. This role is ideal for imaging professionals who are committed to delivering patient-centered care while supporting flexible departmental coverage needs. The Mammography Technologist performs comprehensive breast imaging studies under the direction of a Radiologist, producing high-quality diagnostic images using specialized mammography equipment. In collaboration with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, the technologist supports timely diagnosis and treatment planning while maintaining strict adherence to imaging protocols, radiation safety standards, and quality control procedures. In this role, the Mammography Technologist provides patient care essential to breast imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout imaging procedures. The technologist must demonstrate strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain efficient workflow within a high-volume imaging environment.
