Mechanical Engineering Technician

About the role

Assist in the installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical machinery and equipment. Inspect mechanical components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and project specifications. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment layouts. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs or recommend corrective actions. Assist engineers in monitoring project progress and site activities. Prepare maintenance records, inspection reports, testing reports, and service documentation. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, contractors, suppliers, and clients on mechanical works. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company policies, and quality standards. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify wear, damage, or potential failures. Assist in equipment installation, relocation, calibration, and commissioning. Maintain tools, instruments, and workshop equipment in good working condition. Support project completion, testing, commissioning, and final handover
