About the role We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing and Events Manager to join our Communications and Marketing team as maternity cover for 13 months. In this role you'll help raise the profile of PD in the UK and internationally. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering our programme of in-person and virtual events, creating opportunities to showcase our work, expertise and impact. You'll also support a range of marketing and communications activities that promote PD, our people and the work we do with clients around the world. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people together through great events while also contributing to wider marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand and reach. How you'll make an impact As our Marketing and Events Manager, you'll: Lead the planning and delivery of PD's programme of in-person and virtual events, including venue sourcing, supplier management, and coordination of photographers, videographers, AV providers and other event partners. Horizon-scan for external events, conferences and speaking opportunities relevant to our work, providing recommendations on attendance, participation and sponsorship opportunities. Maximise the impact of our events and external presence by identifying opportunities for promotion, partnerships and sponsorship, ensuring strong value for money and return on investment. Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to promote our events, thought leadership, services and people, using digital channels, audience targeting and performance measurement to maximise reach and engagement. Manage Public Digital's presence at external events, coordinating logistics, communications and follow-up activity to ensure a high-quality experience and strong business outcomes. Work closely with colleagues across the business to understand their marketing and communications needs, providing advice on the most effective channels, campaigns and events to support their objectives. Manage and maintain our digital asset library, commissioning photography, videography and other creative content where required. Oversee the production, management and replenishment of marketing and event materials, including banners, publications, merchandise and promotional collateral. Measure and evaluate the success of events and marketing activity, producing reports and insights on key performance indicators such as attendance, engagement, lead generation and brand visibility. Provide guidance and support to colleagues on how to maximise the marketing, networking and business development opportunities presented by events. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information about upcoming events across our communications channels, including our website, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms. Prepare clear and comprehensive briefing materials for speakers, attendees and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
