Payer Disruption Senior Analyst We are looking for a Payer Disruption Senior Analyst to join the AR Follow-Up Delivery and Outcomes team. In this role, the Payer Disruption Senior Analyst will be responsible for the execution and oversight of key payer disruption workflows, including Jira intake, payer vetting coordination, and disruption impact support. This individual will own regular vetting processes, support offshore partners, and drive operational improvements across payer disruption activities. The Payer Disruption Senior Analyst will be expected to independently manage assigned workstreams, identify process gaps, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will also partner closely with Work Delivery, Workflow Maintenance, Payer Portal Operations, Payer Knowledge, Clustering and other cross-functional teams to identify, monitor, and mitigate payer‑related operational risks. The Payer Disruption Senior Analyst will also responsible for maintaining accurate payer information, managing disruption workflows, and ensuring consistent vetting and escalation practices. The Team: The AR Follow-Up Delivery and Outcomes team is accountable for timely and efficient AR resolution through workflow maintenance, delivery support, work enablement and outcome optimization. Job Responsibilities Perform first‑pass review of all payer disruption Jira submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and appropriate routing. Own and manage the regular payer vetting cadence, including tracking status, identifying follow‑ups, and ensuring timely completion. Partner with and support offshore teams performing payer vetting activities, providing clarification, guidance, and issue escalation as needed. Manage and execute special payer vetting requests outside of standard disruption vetting workflows. Support disruption impact assessments by gathering data, validating findings, and documenting operational and workflow impacts. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring issues within payer disruption processes and implement approved improvements. Typical Qualifications 2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, payer services, or a related area. Experience working with payer vetting, payer escalation, or disruption‑related workflows. Proficiency using Jira or similar ticketing/workflow management tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather data, and assess impacts. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with offshore partners and internal stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and independently execute assigned responsibilities. Belfast based opportunity Expected Compensation $38,000 - $64,000 The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates.
