Together, let's redefine what is possible in orbit and beyond! Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Specialist will provide purchased materials and supplies and manage and develop the vendor base across our satellite and technology programs at our Irvine, CA, location. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, managers, and other stakeholders to maintain and status the execution of projects and prepare performance evaluation reports. Key Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all company-wide Purchasing functions Create, Manage, and Closeout Requisitions/Purchase Orders Interact with interdepartmental staff, vendors, and management to fulfill purchase requests Obtain proper approvals and manage exceptions Match PO, Invoices, Credit Card Orders, and Receipt documents Process PO closeout functions in the company system Interact with receiving staff, accounting, and order-placing department Manage and enforce company credit policy as it applies to purchase transactions Perform cash, purchasing, and project management analysis by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; recommending actions. Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and forecast and analyze fluctuations Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and operations Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function Analyze current and past performance Prepare reports and projections based on this analysis Coordinate with other members of the Finance, Project, and Executive team to review purchasing information and forecast Develop, maintain, and distribute ad hoc reports as needed Travel to vendors required (up to 40%), as necessary Qualifications and Skills BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required Minimum 3 years of experience Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Investment Banking industry a plus Understanding project management and program budget is very helpful Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint) Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications Working knowledge of various corporate systems: JIRA and Confluence collaboration tools Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Ability to complete projects promptly is critical Ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Supplier Onboarding Processing experience U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
