Responsibilities
- Responsible for packaging materials in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) including equipment set-up, equipment clean-up and documentation of such process
- Filling, assembling, labeling and inspecting under little/no supervision
- May be responsible for maintaining accuracy in weighing materials per the correct SMP and SOP weight tolerances

- Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data
- Uses independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem solving under little/no supervision
- Conduct minor equipment repairs and identify and resolve equipment problems
- Provides support to lead and/or supervisor when necessary
- May provide training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures
- May provide support on special projects
- Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
- Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
- Required Qualifications:
- High School degree with 3 years manufacturing or warehouse experience including minimum 1 year FDA/relevant regulated environment
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to work on assignments that are manual and routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification
- Must be able to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs, both manually and/or electronically on a personal computer
- Must be able to effectively manage frequent assignment changes
- Must be proficient in the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
- Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of Windows environment is required
- Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment and be able to stand for long periods of time
- Forklift license may be required for this position
