Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily checks on the operation and condition of all production equipment to ensure readiness and prevent downtime.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, adjusting parts using hand and machine tools to maintain optimal performance.
• Inventory & Resource Management: Plan repair inventory and maintain equipment needs to avoid shortages or excesses, including controlling and mixing chemicals, bonding agents, primers, oils, and fluids.
• Safety & Preventative Measures: Apply preventative maintenance to reduce future risks, fix potential safety hazards, and conduct routine safety checks in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Reporting & Communication: Maintain accurate maintenance reports, inventory, and status updates; communicate effectively with production teams to alleviate delays or interruptions.
• Work Environment Adaptation: Operate safely in a manufacturing environment with loud noise, high temperatures, and dust, using required PPE such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and respirators.

Requirements

• 2 years of applicable maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to safely operate all tools
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
• Basic computer proficiency and report writing skills
• Experience with chemical handling and mixing related to maintenance tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual handling tasks
• Time-management skills to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently
