Monitoring the contractors quality control and performance for construction projects and quality assurance surveillance plans; 2. Reviews shop drawings submitted by the contractor for contract compliance; 3. preparing data for processing of pay estimates for construction projects; and 4. reviewing construction project plans, specifications, and oversight of construction safety requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09) GS-10: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Monitoring the contractors quality control and performance for construction projects and quality assurance surveillance plans; 2. reviewing cost contracts and proposals for source selection boards; 3. preparing data for processing of pay estimates for construction projects; 4. reviewing construction project plans, specifications, and oversight of construction safety requirements; and 5. Verifying contractor invoices to ensure lump-sum and unit prices are valid prior to payment.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
