The Procurement Planner will be part of a focused, high-caliber procurement team and will support the sourcing and purchasing of assigned commodities. The role ensures compliance with strict ethical standards and business requirements, with the objective of achieving procurement goals related to cost, quality, and supply continuity.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze purchase requisitions.
Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and requests for quotations (RFQs).
Perform canvassing and bidding activities to ensure best-value purchasing.
Gather quotations, evaluate bids, and recommend supplier awards.
Execute provisions of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) guidelines with suppliers.
Support price negotiations with suppliers, including commercial terms and conditions, to achieve cost savings and cost avoidance.
Support the development of new supply sources when existing vendors are no longer competitive.
Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., factory consumables and materials, warehousing and logistics, professional services).
Ensure accuracy and integrity of procurement business system data.
Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, QA, HR, Facilities, IT, SCM) to resolve quality and supply issues.
Support the provision of procurement strategies, practices, and information to stakeholders to enable collective leverage and advantages.
Conduct supplier evaluation, qualification, and partnership meetings to ensure supplier competence and conformance to quality standards.
Collect, consolidate, and report key initiatives and KPIs for management and suppliers.
Perform self-audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Purchasing, preferably within the semiconductor or related industry.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables).
Experience in cost modeling, cost analysis, negotiations, pricing, purchasing, and contracting.
