In this role, you'll work side-by-side with a Cancer Prevention and Control faculty member to help advance research that truly makes a difference. Your work will focus on addressing disparities in cancer outcomes and improving care and prevention for historically underserved communities.

Pay Range: $26.94 - $34.23 per hour
Responsibilities
Support community-based cancer prevention and control research initiatives
Help plan and deliver behavioral interventions designed to improve health outcomes
Build and sustain relationships with community partners and participants
Engage with historically underserved populations in a respectful, culturally responsive way
Assist with outreach activities, program coordination, and participant engagement
Contribute to studies focused on reducing disparities in cancer care and outcomes
Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and community stakeholders to move projects forward
Requirements
A genuine interest in health equity, cancer prevention, or community-based research
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds
Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Experience with community outreach, public health, research support, or similar work is a plus
Cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with underserved populations
Organization and attention to detail, especially when supporting multiple projects
A desire to learn and contribute to meaningful, impact-driven work

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree; or
Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in an education, science, research or health related field; or
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in an education, science, research or health related field.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have experience with health education, community health initiatives, cancer screening and patient navigation.
