Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the field level Implementation, technical management, coordination, engagements and successful National level technical assessments project to improve maternal and child health. The incumbent will lead implementation team to strengthen community health systems to improve delivery of basic nutrition sensitive services and engage communities in Nairobi County and other Counties to produce and consume diversified micronutrient-rich foods. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with Nutrition technical working groups to implement National level activities including Maternal Infant and Young Child nutrition and Iodine deficiency disorder assessments with specific focus in (Baringo, Marsabit, Samburu, Wajir, Isiolo, Turkana, Busia, Moyale and Nairobi). He/ She will lead project planning and quality assurance, including ensuring the quality and timely achievement of all deliverables, and will be accountable for management of project budget and work with project finance staff to develop financial reports. Programmatic and technical support for nutrition projects Oversee the implementation of nutrition interventions across grants, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within approved plans and budgets, while regularly tracking and reviewing progress. Lead the rollout of PD Hearth and dietary diversity initiatives in Nairobi County, ensuring effective community engagement and impact. Promote integrated programming by ensuring nutrition interventions are inclusive and aligned with gender equality, child protection, disability inclusion, advocacy, and Christian values. Support the identification of local needs, priorities, and resources, translating these into responsive and context-appropriate programme actions. Guide the development and use of high-quality project management tools, including annual work plans, budgets, Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs), and 4D matrices. Coordinate the implementation of Nourish to Thrive activities across Nairobi and other counties, strengthening team capacity through mentorship, on-the-job coaching, and targeted learning opportunities. Provide strategic and innovative leadership in the delivery of Nourish to Thrive, ensuring strong coordination across teams and partners. Ensure all project activities consistently meet or exceed planned outcomes, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness. Ensure programme implementation complies with organizational policies, technical standards, and financial and operational audit requirements. Collaborate closely with the project team and Project Accountant to manage budgets effectively and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Quality assurance for programmatic Designs, Assessments, Monitoring and Evaluation processes Facilitate timely community and stakeholder mobilization and maintain clear communication with stakeholders during baseline surveys and evaluations. Strengthen routine monitoring by tracking project indicators monthly and supporting reflective learning with communities and partners to drive continuous improvement. Ensure accurate and timely collection, consolidation, and sharing of nutrition data through platforms such as DHIS2 and the WV CMAM database, in collaboration with key stakeholders including the Ministry of Health and WV Support Offices. Work closely with the M&E Officer to plan and coordinate project assessments and evaluations. Prepare and submit high-quality reports (monthly, semi-annual, and annual) in line with WV and donor reporting requirements. Capture, document, and share promising practices and lessons learned to promote knowledge sharing and programme improvement. Participate in and help convene county-level learning and sharing forums, engaging key project stakeholders. Collaborate with the M&E and Capacity Building teams to ensure appropriate monitoring systems, too
