Oversees student-athletes related to rehab for athletic-related injuries to return to sport participation. This includes assessing the nature of their injuries (range of motion, strength, etc.) and making referrals to physicians as appropriate.
Performs administrative duties related to insurance, medical history and medical care and follow up for student-athletes. Assists with supplies, schedules, communications and health and safety recommendations.
Requirements
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in athletic training or a related field
BOC Certified for Athletic Trainers
Must possess a State of Pennsylvania License or be State of Pennsylvania License eligible
Preferred, But Not Required
Master's Degree
Completed the national certification exam & are eligible for state licensure
1-2 years collegiate athletics experience preferred
Athletic training experience in an NCAA Division I program is preferred
Physical Requirements
Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day

As a member of the NCAA Division I (FCS in Football) and the Patriot League for 23 of 27 varsity sports, we are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for the administration of injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. Additionally, this position enforces health care policies and procedures regarding medical insurance, and completes physical examinations. The successful candidate will follow risk management processes and communicates with parents, coaches, health care professionals, administrators, faculty, staff, and student-athletes.
