Mō te tūranga | About the role We're looking for a Pavement Engineer to join our team based in Burnside, Christchurch or in Penrose, Auckland. In this role, you'll support all areas of pavement engineering across design, materials, construction, rehabilitation, investigations, and post-construction evaluation. It's a hands-on role with plenty of variety, real responsibility, and the chance to do good work with good people. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Deliver fit-for-purpose pavement design solutions across a range of projects. Support field assessments, investigations, and post-construction evaluations. Provide technical advice across pavement materials, construction, and maintenance activities. Contribute to tender submissions with practical, innovative engineering input. Carry out field inspections to assess pavement integrity and performance. Provide construction phase support to help ensure quality outcomes. Promote the capability of the pavement engineering team internally and externally. Champion safety and wellbeing in everything you do. Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We're looking for someone with A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline. Experience in pavement materials, construction and/or maintenance. A solid understanding of pavement engineering principles. Chartered Professional Engineer status, or working towards it. A collaborative approach and confidence working with a range of teams. A curious mindset, with the drive to keep learning and improve how work gets done. A strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery.
