About the role

All porters employed by Athens Services are responsible for all assigned waste collection. It is expected that every porter employee will conduct his/her self in a professional manner at all times and perform all duties as assigned in a safe manner. The primary duty of all porters' personnel is to perform manual cleaning assignments. Porters are responsible for the collection and hand loading of commercial, residential, and city waste. Our porters must also be able to communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and supervisors. Manual cleaning will include, but not limited to, sweeping, picking up litter, pressure washing, graffiti removal, backpack blowers, bus stop maintenance.
