Serve as technical lead for major structural systems, mentor junior staff , drive design standards and best practices.
Define and drive structural design solutions for large structural /mechanical systems.
Lead , p erform , and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex steel structure s.
Manage external design and fabrication partners through complete project lifecycle, and oversee equipment fabrication, assembly, installation , and testing & activation .
Minimum Qualifications (required) :
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in S tructural Engineering , or similar discipline s .
10 + years experience with a strong background in design/analysis/ construction of large and complex steel structural systems ( e.g. steel towers, launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, oil & gas structures , movable structures , steel bridges and platforms, etc ).
Experience in structural and mechanical analysis utilizing FEA tools .
Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded connections.
Knowledge of civil engineering codes and standards (e.g. IBC, ASCE, AISC, AWS, etc) .
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired (not required) :
Master's degree in Structural Engineering , or closely related field.
Structural Engineer (SE) license.
Experience in STAAD , ANSYS , and SAP2000 .
Experience in PTC Creo /Windchill .
3 + years direct GSE design and analysis experience.
