ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The student intern will support the team through the following: Assist in design and development of manual or automated tooling fixtures under engineer supervision. Support engineering evaluations: tolerance checks, GR&R, basic DOE activities, and data collection. Help prepare technical documentation: drawings, BOM updates, preventive maintenance sheets, setup sheets. Support engineers in vendor coordination activities (follow-ups, data preparation, receiving samples). Collect and analyze production or lab data to support tooling improvement projects. Assist in preparing review materials (TDRD, FMEA, concept review slides). Support eTRF/ePDM updates and digital document organization. Provide hands-on assistance in lab prototypes, basic assembly, simple measurements, and test preparation. Coordinate logistics for small builds or prototype parts. Perform other tasks as assigned by engineering mentors. Provide guidance to local vendors to improve services and capabilities to meet factory demands Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED: Education Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or related field). Experience Requirements No experience required. Prior project work, university labs, or technical club experience is an advantage. Other Requirements Basic understanding of mechanical or manufacturing engineering fundamentals. Able to use CAD software (SolidWorks/other) at beginner level. Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, data entry). Good communication skills (English is an advantage). Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn. Key Competencies Knowledge: Basic mechanical design concepts. Understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T (beginner level). Familiarity with ISO concepts (optional).
