Position Summary
As a Medical Assistant , you'll play a key role in supporting our providers, radiologic technologists, and patients. This is a fast-paced, patient-facing position where you'll help ensure an efficient and positive care experience-from check-in through discharge.
We're looking for someone who is organized, service-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility
Room patients and prepare them for examination
Record medical history and vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.)
Assist providers during patient visits and communicate patient needs
Process co-pays and schedule follow-up appointments
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and front desk areas
Manage medical records, documentation, and patient communications
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
Support daily clinic operations including opening/closing duties
Required Qualifications
Medical Assistant certification is REQUIRED at time of hire
Accepted certifications include: CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)
CMA - Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or CHP)
RMA - Registered Medical Assistant (AMT, AAH, or ARMA)
NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)
NRCMA - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) - required at hire
High school diploma or equivalent required
Requirements
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program
1+ year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 3 years
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Skills & Attributes
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
