Description of Work The Financial Analyst position will support the Provider Reimbursements Unit within the Finance Section of DHB. This position is primarily responsible for supporting rate setting, waivers, SPAs, and other reimbursement needs for a set of Medicaid Programs. As an Analyst, guidance and direction will be provided by management, however it is expected that individuals will be able to quickly and independently perform the required tasks after brief on the job training. Within the Provider Reimbursement Unit, this position will perform financial analysis on assigned providers to determine payment rates. The Analyst will also be a supporting resource for researching, understanding, and interpreting state and federal regulations for programs and keeping up to date with the frequent need to modify the regulations for changes to the respective programs. Comparative analysis is made with prior years' cost information for the individual facility as well as other facilities and additionally with national and industry data.
