About the role

We are looking for a tenacious Technical Recruiter to help fuel our next phase of growth. As an early member of the talent team, you will be the architect of our engineering and product teams. You are someone who thrives in a high-velocity environment and is excited to establish world-class recruiting standards from the ground up. You will be a brand ambassador for Bree, ensuring every candidate has an exceptional experience regardless of the outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own the entire hiring process for technical roles, from initial kick-off with hiring managers to offer negotiation and closing.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Actively hunt for top-tier, passive talent for difficult-to-fill engineering and product roles using LinkedIn Recruiter and creative outbound strategies.
  • Process Engineering: Build and drive the adoption of standardized, scalable hiring workflows that ensure we remain efficient as we scale. Must be proficient with AI.
  • Candidate Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing diligent follow-through and building genuine long-term relationships.
  • Data & Strategy: Utilize a data-driven approach to provide leadership with insights on market trends, pipeline health, and long-term talent acquisition strategy.
  • Employer Branding: Contribute to Bree's external employment brand, ensuring we are recognized as a top destination for technical talent in Canada.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting, ideally within a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
  • The "Sourcing Grit": A proven track record of finding and engaging passive candidates who aren't necessarily looking for a new role.
  • Extreme Ownership: A self-starter mentality with the ability to navigate ambiguity and "establish something from nothing" without constant direction.
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to speak the language of engineers and product managers to effectively screen for both skill and culture fit.
  • Exceptional Communication: Impeccable written and verbal skills; you can pitch the Bree vision to a skeptical candidate or a Board member with equal confidence.
  • Tools & Systems: Strong experience with ATS platforms and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter.
