The Role We re looking for a Sr. Accountant to take ownership of group-wide accounting across our US and European entities, partnering closely with the Group Controller to deliver clean closes, audit-ready financials, and the operational backbone that lets the company scale. You will lead the full accounting cycle - multi-entity consolidation, monthly and annual closes, external audit coordination, and intercompany reconciliations - for a group that spans the US, Europe, and other upcoming entities. You ll work alongside a Jr. Accountant who supports day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional work, allowing you to focus on review, technical accounting, audit, and process improvement. This is a high-ownership role where the quality of your work directly enables strategic decisions, fundraising, and regulatory authorizations. What You ll Do Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closes across all group entities (US, Spain, and growing), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full US GAAP / IFRS / local PGC compliance Lead multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliations across all group entities (US, Europe, and other upcoming entities) Partner with external auditors on the annual audit cycle - preparing working papers, owning deliverables, and resolving open items end-to-end Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts and reconciliations prepared by the Jr. Accountant, flagging variances and providing clear, decision-useful explanations to management Strengthen internal controls and document accounting processes as the group scales toward regulated activity (PSD2/EDE, MiCA, MTLs) Contribute to ERP transition and continuous improvement of accounting systems and workflows Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, Legal, and Operations to keep the financial picture accurate and aligned with the business Work closely with a Jr. Accountant who supports daily bookkeeping and transactional work - providing review, guidance, and mentorship What We re Looking For You re rigorous, proactive, and ownership-driven.
