Identify process conditions that create safety risks or ergonomic issues for production employees.
Partner with plant leadership to implement engineering solutions that reduce safety exposure.
Participate in incident investigations and develop corrective actions related to process or equipment conditions.
Quality Improvement
Partner with Quality and Operations teams to investigate product defects and process failures.
Lead root cause analysis for internal quality issues and customer concerns.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring defects.
Improve process capability and ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet product specifications.
Partner to develop Control Plan and necessary techniques to measure and validate products.
Process Optimization & Operational Excellence
Lead creation and upkeep on P rocess Flow 's and PFM EA's
Use of Lean methods to develop Process Design, Takt times, Load leveling
Use of Lean methods for tooling and fixture designs, SMED, part orientation throughout process, Poke Yokes
Verification and upkeep of Plant layout, machines, electrical, air etc.
Identify root causes of process variation, quality defects, and downtime using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Implement sustainable process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and inefficiencies.
Lead initiatives to improve first-pass yield, throughput, and process stability.
Establish and maintain standardized work instructions and process documentation.
Cost & Efficiency Improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce material waste, scrap, labor inefficiencies, and equipment downtime.
Support cost reduction initiatives through process redesign and operational improvements.
Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
Data & Process Analysis
Utilize production data to identify trends, process variation, and improvement opportunities.
Monitor key process indicators including yield, scrap, cycle time, and downtime.
Develop actionable improvement plans based on data analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational challenges.
Provide technical guidance and process direction to production teams.
Support new product introductions and process changes to ensure stable production launch.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
3 + years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting production operations and resolving process issues
