Registered Nurse - SpineCare & Pain Management

About the role

Work collaboratively with physicians and other clinic staff to provide professional nursing care to patients . Provide patient and family health education and health assessment. Primary Responsibilities Working within scope of license, develop and implement nursing plan of care for patients . Communicate the plan of care to patients as prescribed by physician: test results, scheduling of specialized tests and treatment modalities, prescription drug instructions and other patient education . Document treatment in medical record appropriately. Using the nursing process, triage patient concerns via telephone and provide nursing advice . Receive phone calls relating to appointments, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills and test results in accordance with clinic protocols and coordinate proper disposition of each . Obtain, review, verify and/or complete health care forms related to home health care, referrals, medical equipment and other patient/physician needs as appropriate . Assist with managed care authorization and complete insurance and medical forms for patients or assist patients in completing the forms . Help maintain patient flow and workflow . Work collaboratively as a team member of the clinic staff to provide a high quality and efficient service to patients and clinic . Maintain patient confidentiality. Assist with clinical trials according to protocol, if required . Other duties as assigned. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Strong leadership, team building and decision making capabilities .
