Department Overview The Penang Pre-Sales organization serves as a trusted business partner to Motorola's Direct Sales teams across the Asia-Pacific region. We are responsible for driving project excellence and technical strategy for high-value accounts in Asia Pacific. By bridging technical innovation with commercial objectives, we ensure the delivery of world-class solutions to our direct clients. Job Description Key areas of responsibilities of the Financial Controller: Business Partner and financial advisor: - Act as trusted business partner and financial advisor to sales leadership and together drive growth and profitability in our APAC market. - Provide thought leadership and financial tools & structures. - Improve alignment of the company's profitability expectations to market positioning of current and new businesses. - Support regional tax, treasury, accounting and other support finance teams on compliance and various corporate finance matters. Controlling and P&L: - Drive financial as well as commercial rigor and enhance pricing and cost discipline during the bid and contracting phase. - Review and aim to improve the terms and conditions, cash flow profile, revenue recognition outcome, risk profile and margin position of each opportunity. - Collaborate with sales, services, competitive intelligence and legal functions. Forecasting - Manage Business planning and financial forecasting for APAC (annual and quarterly forecasts, budgets, long range planning). - Ensure robust planning & analysis and execution against forecast (orders, sales, margins, cash flow, collections etc.). #LI-WL1 Basic Requirements Degree in accounting, finance or equivalent from leading universities Professional qualification of internationally recognized organization (i.e. CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage 4-7 years working experience preferably in established Audit Firms or Multinational Companies Excellent knowledge of General Ledger Accounting Analytical, resourceful, independent, persuasive, and creative with a strong desire to solve customers' problems Have commendable working attitude and interpersonal skills, and able to work as an excellent team player under pressures and tight deadlines Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities across many organizations Proficient in MS Excel with basic knowledge in other MS applications Excellent English written and spoken is a must Knowledge in Financial instrument & compliance a plus Willing to travel for business trip #LI-WL1 Travel Requirements Under 10% Relocation Provided None Position Type Experienced Referral Payment Plan No EEO Statement Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
