We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our network of skilled professionals. As a Travel OR RN, you will perform surgical nursing duties in various healthcare settings including hospitals and surgical centers nationwide. This role requires a committed nurse who can adapt to different clinical environments, support surgical teams, and uphold our standards of excellence and patient safety. Responsibilities Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure efficient and safe operating room operations. Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring proper equipment functionality. Monitor patients' vital signs and surgical progress, responding swiftly to changes in patient condition. Assist with positioning patients and applying sterile techniques throughout the surgical procedure. Document nursing care, surgical events, and patient information accurately and promptly. Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and hospital policies to maintain a safe surgical environment. Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of assignment. Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing or perioperative nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Ability to work independently and adapt to different healthcare facility settings. Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse surgical teams. Willingness and flexibility to travel to various locations across the United States for assignments.
