SUMMARY: The Grain Elevator Assistant Manager is responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting business processes within the assigned areas. The Assistant Manager, Grain Elevator, will support the Grain Elevator Manager and the operation to manage the production and delivery of high-quality feed to growers at the lowest cost possible while ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Support the operational success regarding production schedules, ingredient ordering, feed recovery scheduling, preventive maintenance, and parts ordering. Support and champion continuous improvement by coaching and training team members using the tools and methods available to maximize daily production results. Follow and support the compliance of all prescribed standard operating procedures for all job tasks. Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Prepare reports and conduct data analysis, as necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to initiate new systems and/or processes. Ensure that safety is always a condition of employment for all team members. Other tasks as assigned by Manager. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will have supervisory responsibility. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required Associates Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science, Management, related field Plus 3 years of grain experience OR 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a grain facility. Outstanding written/verbal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) Preferred HACCP knowledge and experience Bachelor's Degree in related agriculture/business or equivalent Experience with food/feed manufacturing computer software George's is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
