What You Drive at DTNA General Purpose of the Position: Through hole solder is responsible for, repairing, and modifying production electronic components and circuit boards. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares and solders all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) according to specifications. Perform soldering at a through hole level to IPC standards. Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and automatic equipment for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly. Advanced understanding of PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions. Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools. Has an advanced understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components. Rework, repair, and modify printed circuit boards and/or assemblies to required specifications. Maintains department specific records. Ability to learn new jobs, tasks, functions and develop training for these functions. Perform cross functional audits across manufacturing. Mentoring of new employees/contractors to ensure training is successful and questions/concerns are addressed. Must be willing to be moved into various work areas in order to meet production requirements or where skills best serve department and company goals. Minimum Requirements: Education: High school diploma/GED; AA Degree Preferred Years of Experience: 1 years Other Qualifications: Must be an IPC 610 A Certified to soldering or have the ability to achieve certification. Willingness to take charge, and offer opinions and direction. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to support circuit board inspections across manufacturing. Perform basic computer duties as assigned. Minimal computer skills required. Physical Requirements: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
