1+ years as a registered patent attorney required

As an Intellectual Property Attorney and registered patent attorney, you will provide enterprise-wide legal counsel and advocacy to analyze, register and protect The Toro Company's intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and domain names, and avoid the valid intellectual property of others.
What Will You Do?
Conduct patentability analysis, including searching, evaluating, preparing claim strategy and drafting applications.
Provide IP infringement avoidance counseling.
Support IP lawsuits, with and through the assistance of inhouse and external counsel.
Monitor competitive IP landscapes.
Support IP agreements including license agreements, joint development agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and consulting agreements.
Perform supervised merger and acquisition due diligence with respect to IP matters.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
Reports to Sr. Director, Chief Product Counsel with overall responsibility for patent matters across the enterprise.
Responsible for various IP matters, as assigned, for certain divisions of The Toro Company.
Partners with internal and outside legal counsel.
Partners with and counsels division leaders and engineering and marketing personnel.
