About the role

We are looking for Principal/Senior Business Analyst with 7+ years in Digital Banking, to join our rapidly growing team across regions. Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the end-to-end requirement lifecycle across Retail and Corporate Loan Origination systems, driving requirements from elicitation through validation to final closure, ensuring completeness, traceability, and delivery readiness.
  • Define, connect, and govern requirements across CRM, Digital Channels, Branch systems, Lending platforms, and Core Banking, ensuring end-to-end customer journey continuity, data integrity, and seamless integration across all touchpoints
  • Own requirement documents quality and governance, eliminating duplicates, resolving inconsistencies, and ensuring no orphan or unclassified requirements
  • Classify requirements into OOTB, configuration, customisation, integration, and process, ensuring clear scope boundaries
  • Convert business requirements into decision-ready artefacts, outlining options, trade-offs, and cost/time implications
  • Analyse and define end-to-end lending processes across origination, credit decisioning, approval, settlement, servicing, and collections
  • Identify product gaps and recommend optimal solutions (OOTB, workaround, or customisation) aligned to business needs and delivery constraints
  • Work closely with integration teams to define requirements involving APIs, batch processes, and third-party integrations
  • Ensure all requirements align with Australian regulatory expectations including APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC, and Consumer Data Right (CDR) obligations
  • Lead structured workshops and transition them into decision-focused validation sessions, driving closure instead of continuous discovery
  • Support scope validation, SoW finalisation, and Board-level readiness, highlighting risks, dependencies, and gaps
  • Create process flows, journey maps, and functional diagrams to simplify complex banking processes
  • Ensure requirements are testable and aligned to SIT/UAT, supporting acceptance criteria and validation cycles
  • Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure aligned and implementable solutions

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end requirement lifecycle across complex banking transformation programs, including requirement closure under ambiguity and time pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to design and connect end-to-end customer and lending journeys across multiple systems (CRM, Channels, Lending, Core Banking), with clear understanding of data flows, system dependencies, and integration impacts
  • Strong end-to-end knowledge of lending lifecycle, including origination, credit decisioning, servicing, and collections
  • Deep understanding of corporate lending constructs such as facilities, limits, onboarding, and credit structuring
  • Hands-on experience working with Core Banking systems, CRM platforms, and Digital Channels
  • Exposure to rule engines, workflow automation, and decisioning systems
  • Experience in digital banking (internet/mobile) and omni-channel implementations
  • Understanding of data models, reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in connecting business processes across systems (not working in silos), with clear understanding of upstream/downstream impacts
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, including APIs, batch processing, and third-party vendor integrations
  • Proven ability to manage large and complex requirement sets, ensuring traceability, consistency, and closure under tight timelines
  • Ability to convert ambiguous requirements into structured solutions and decision-ready insights
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and delivery-focused mindset
  • Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models with strong understanding of project lifecycle
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage business users, technical teams, and senior leadership
  • Proficiency in tools such as Visio/BPMN tools, Jira, Confluence, and other require
