- Essential Functions:
- Understands and satisfies the needs of the neonatal, infant, toddler, pre-school, school-age, adolescent and/or adult patient and families regarding their growth and development process.
- Evaluates and identifies needs prior to and during testing and initiates appropriate action.
- Safely initiates, performs and maintains competency in the following areas: Diagnostics such as Polysomnograms, Cardio-pulmonary tracings, and blood draws.
- Titration and monitoring of positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy.
- Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.
- Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
- Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patient and family.
- Downloads, analyzes and records/scores data per AASM and lab standards and contacts on-call physician as needed.
- Cleans and assembles sleep lab equipment according to protocol. Ensure departmental equipment is maintained according to manufacturers and other regulatory agency specifications and utilizes resources appropriately.
- Assists with maintaining inventory and supplies within the sleep lab and being fiscally responsible.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- Analytical skills necessary to resolve complex clinical problems relating to the integration of anatomy and physiology to sleep/wake pathology and patient safety and welfare.
- Possess adequate time management skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers.
- Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council, RPSGT-Registered Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists

Full time: 40 hrs per week Location: Milwaukee Hospital Hours: DAYS (6:30 am - 5:00 pm) Schedule: Monday-Thursday No weekends No holidays Education: High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required Completion of sleep education program such as ASTEP required
