Prepare and setup hardware according to job specifications
Jog and dry-run CNC machine for processing
Setup, operate and troubleshoot fiber laser equipment
Utilize precision measuring tools like calipers, depth gauges, micrometers and height gauges to ensure quality
CNC system programming, both at the machine control and with offline software
Excellent communication skills
Provide manufacturing feedback to design engineers
Provide process improvement feedback to process engineers
Safely work within an industrial environment
Continuous improvement mindset
Requirements
5+ years of direct experience
Understanding of laser optics and processes such as cutting and welding, and part set up - including knowledge of laser safety practices.
Ability to set-up and precisely position large scale hardware
Ability to troubleshoot program and/or machine issues
Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime as required
Desired:
10+ years of direct experience
CNC G-code language online programming
CNC offline CAM programming
Understanding of GD&T
Ability to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill)
Crane operator/ lift coordinator experience
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $26.59 - $37.22

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for welding multiple alloys using the TIG welding process and assist the manufacture, assembly, and test for various spaceflight systems.
