As a Principal Associate, Project Management in the BC&P Command Center, you will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. Although the opportunities are endless, the core responsibilities of a Principal Associate, Project Management include: Lead moderate to large sized teams on high-priority initiatives and work streams that span across Business Cards and Payments and Capital One Design, develop, and manage project plans and delivery roadmaps in a complex dynamic environment Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical recommendations in support of project delivery Drive solutions to complex problems across cross-functional teams by applying sound business judgment to navigate trade-offs between competing priorities Manage a large set of stakeholders Effectively manage scope, schedule, resources and budget Communicate status, impediments, and risks/issues across all levels of the program Deliver results and influence business outcomes across all levels of the organization Influence and manage stakeholders/Intent owners across COF ranging from VP+ to associate The ideal person will: Be able to act as the lead for large scale initiatives within BC&P, accountable for ensuring on time delivery of mission critical scope Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively and efficiently drive project / program efforts Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, including the ability to thrive in gray space, establish structure and routines quickly, and execute high quality work in a dynamic complex environment Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform, and influence outcomes Ability to set direction, manage expectations, and lead cross-functional teams Confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting opinions with colleagues and senior management
