WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer. This role reports to the Manager, Software Engineering within Global Procurement Technology at the India Technology Center (ITC), Bangalore.
The India Technology team supports global procurement and corporate functions, enabling NIKE to operate efficiently at scale across regions. In this role, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise procurement and Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) solutions that support NIKE's global indirect spend landscape.
You will be accountable for the delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant procurement technology, helping NIKE meet its operational, audit, and growth objectives across markets. Partnering closely with global technology teams, procurement stakeholders, and external vendors will be key to successful delivery and operational excellence.

Procurement Product Managers, Analysts, and Business Partners
Core ERP teams (SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Oracle)
Integration, Platform teams
Engineers, Security, and Enterprise Architecture partners
External SaaS vendors and technology partners (e.g., Coupa, Ariba)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands‑on Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in procurement platforms and enterprise integrations. You will bring strong technical leadership across Source‑to‑Pay solutions, SaaS procurement platforms, ERP integrations, and audit‑ready enterprise systems.
You will lead solution design, influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable procurement capabilities globally. We are open to candidates based in Bangalore, India.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
8-12+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with strong focus on procurement or enterprise platforms
Deep hands‑on experience with SaaS-based indirect procurement solutions such as Coupa, Ariba, or equivalent platforms
Strong integration experience with backend ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, or similar
Proven expertise in source‑to‑target data mapping, payload structures, transformations, and multiple integration patterns (API, event‑driven, batch/file, middleware-based)
Experience designing and supporting audit and controls requirements, including ITGC/SOX-style controls and evidence-ready documentation
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, integration architectures, and distributed systems
Experience leading production support, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis for mission‑critical enterprise systems
Proficiency with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucid, or equivalent
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions in complex, ambiguous environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Ability to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams and time zones
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented, global environment
