Job Overview/Summary : The Education Officer works under the supervision of the Education Specialist to lead the implementation of Safe Healing and Learning Space (SHLS) activities and delivery of quality education programming. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, inclusive, protective, and safe learning opportunities for children and adolescents, while promoting community engagement and coordination with relevant technical focal persons and stakeholders. The Education Officer supervises and supports community facilitators to ensure activities are implemented in accordance with organizational standards and program strategies. Major Responsibilities: Program Implementation and Quality Assurance Lead the implementation of Safe Healing and Learning Space (SHLS) in accordance with project objectives and approved workplan. Work closely with Education specialists and collaboration with Child Protection team to ensure integrated education activities are implemented effectively. Provide coaching, monitoring and training on education activities and integration of education and child protection as per INEE and Child Protection minimum standards for community volunteers and implementing partners with support of Education and Child Protection Specialist. Ensure the delivery of quality, inclusive, safe, and child-friendly learning and protection activities for children and adolescents in SHLS. Support overall management of the community volunteers/facilitators and ensure that activity schedules and shifts are organized and implemented effectively in line with quality standards and program requirements. Assist in the development of IEC materials and ensure quality assurance of activities in alignment with program standards. Promote equitable access to quality education and protection services for marginalized and vulnerable children, including children with disabilities. Community Engagement and Capacity Strengthening Collaborate with community members, local stakeholders, and partner organizations to strengthen community participation and ownership of education and integrated activities. Support facilitate training, mentoring, and ongoing support for SHLS facilitators and community volunteers to strengthen program quality and effective implementation. Coordination and Integrated Programming Coordinate closely with Child Protection team and relevant focal persons to strengthen internal integration and ensure harmonized implementation across program sectors. Participate in regular team meetings, coordination meetings, monitoring visits, and program review processes. Support collaboration with relevant stakeholders to enhance the quality and effectiveness of integrated programming. Monitoring, Reporting, Accountability, and Safeguarding Maintain accurate beneficiary records, attendance sheets, activity documentation, and monitoring data in accordance with MEAL requirements and organizational guidelines. Assist field level assessments and data collection activities are conducted in timely, systematic, and high-quality manner. Support routine monitoring and reporting of project activities and contribute to program learning and quality improvement efforts. Promote safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), confidentiality, and Do No Harm principles across all activities. Ensure adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct and accountability commitments to affected populations. External Engagement and Coordination Maintain community engagement and coordination with relevant focal points to enhance the effective delivery of service. Actively participate and represent IRC in external coordination meetings as required. Education: Bachelor's degree in education, social science, development studies or equivalent experience. Work Experience: At least three years of work experience in emergencies and/or community-based education in Myanmar.
