Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), radiographic testing (RT), and visual inspection (VT) on components, materials, and equipment according to established procedures and standards
Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable test results
Conduct inspections to detect and evaluate defects, discontinuities, or anomalies that could affect product performance or integrity
Execute NDT tests and inspections in accordance with work instructions, test plans, and inspection procedures
Collect and record test data, inspection results, and observations accurately and thoroughly using appropriate documentation methods and forms
Identify and document any abnormalities, defects, or non-conformities detected during inspections for further evaluation or corrective action
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations, and customer specifications governing NDT processes and procedures
Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks to verify the condition, configuration, and integrity of components and assemblies
Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to address NDT-related discrepancies or non-conformities
Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of NDT equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and accuracy
Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and maintain optimal performance
Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions, deficiencies, or calibration issues requiring attention or corrective action
Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations governing NDT operations to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the work environment
Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and hazard identification activities to promote a culture of safety awareness and risk mitigation
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with NDT techniques, equipment, and procedures, magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), and radiographic testing (RT)
Required to achieve SNT-TC-1A, ISO9712, and IRRSP
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred:
Certification or training in one or more NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level II certification) is highly desirable
Visual Inspection (VT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT),
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in non-destructive testing (NDT), quality inspection, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Technical training or certification in NDT methods is preferred
