As a Sports Official, you'll play a vital role in creating a fun, fair, and dynamic atmosphere for participants. Here are some of the key duties you'll take on:
Officiating at sports events including flag football, basketball, softball, and other adult sports leagues
Communicating with CityWide Sports Program Coordinators by telephone, e-mail, or in-person to provide information and discuss problems
Inspecting playing surfaces or fields to ensure that they meet the regulations of the sanctioning body and are safe for the players.
Inspecting sporting equipment and/or examining participants to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations
Signaling participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play
Explaining disputed calls to players (when appropriate)
Performing other related duties as assigned or requested

Availability during weeknights and weekends
Punctuality and proactive communication ahead of all scheduled shifts
