Position Statement The Housekeeping Attendant, Linen is responsible for mending uniforms, linen and guests' clothing in line with Hilton and the hotel policies and procedures. What will I be doing? As the Linen Attendant, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: - Alter and mend team members' uniforms and linen. - Maintain the sewing machine in good working condition and report defects to supervisor/ manager. - Distribute uniforms at the issuing counter. - Repair guests' clothing. - Keep uniform/ linen room area neat and tidy. - To bring up to supervisor/ manager attention on uniforms that are beyond repair and due to be condemned. - Be courteous and professional at all times. - Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments. - Conduct quarterly uniform and linen inventory according to hotel standard and requirements. - Adhere by the hotel's policies and procedures, Hilton code of business conduct, the hotel's team member handbook. - Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. What are we looking for? A Linen Attendant serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: - At least 1 year of experience in the same position in a 5-star international branded hotel or comparable industry related experience. - Working experience as a Seamstress in the uniform/ linen room. - Good communication skills. - Understand clothing materials. - Creative and possess delicate workmanship. - Physically fit and have good eyesight. - Good team player. - Able to maintain excellent relations with team members. - Able to work under physical and mental pressure.
